During the show Joy Behar made the comment the the Republican Party "hasn't been black friendly over the centuries of this country." Apparently, Joy hasn't read a history book in her entire life, so let's review:

1) the Republican Party was organized mainly as an anti-slavery party
2)Abraham Lincoln was a Republican
3)It was the Republican Party that proposed the 14th amendment that (among other things) made slavery illegal the the USA
4) it was the Republican Party that passed civil rights legislation which was opposed by the Democratic Party

This is just a few of the Republican Party's accomplishments given time I'm sure I can come up with more. Next time Joy Behar makes a claim maybe she should check to see if it's true first.

Obama's fabulous Presidency

I know it's been a long time, I started using another service but got dissatisfied with them after I forgot about this account.

What I want to talk about today is the Obama Administration and the idiots who still think he's doing a good job and I want to give my opinion. Let me start by saying that Obama hasn't really accomplished anything except for "universal healthcare" and even that isn't as good as his supporters think it is.

The economy is worse now than it was when he was elected and what's his excuse? It's George Bush and the Republican's fault. Really??? He's had almost three years to prove his policies work and now things are worse but it isn't his fault? It's high time he admits he screwed up instead of blaming "8 years of Republican rule." When he came into office his party ruled Congress and things got worse not better.

I'm not saying that the Republicans who just recently got elected are great or without some blame (the recent budget fiasco is both parties fault not just one) but the Democrats (including Obama) have had enough time to prove that their policies work and haven't done that at all. If the policies of the Obama Administration worked we would have seen some improvement but we haven't.

Let's get another thing straight about Obama, he seems to have a lack of knowledge of how the American system of government works. He apparently thinks that as President he tells Congress what he wants to do and they have no choice. And when Congress (ie Congressional Republicans) don't play ball he goes on air and tells the People to tell them to "do their jobs" aka do what the President wants or he wont be able to pay out Social Security checks and maybe not even the military. Which basically means he's threatening us to get us to make Congress do what he commands them to do.

The best thing that can happen at this point is that he loses his re-election bid. Unfortunately, he and the Democratic Party will probably find a way to fool the American people to re-election him.

The 2008 Elections

This year here in America we made history when we voted for President. We elected the first black President and we also, for the first time in history, elected a President based solely on the color of the candidates skin.

I know what most people will say "No that's not true," but it is. None of Obama's supporters could tell me how he stood on any of the issues. Going around saying you stand for "change" doesn't tell me anything. The only two things he did say (besides "Change!!") is that he'll (a) raise oil companies taxes (which would supposedly lower gas prices despite the fact that this makes no logical sense since the oil companies will just pass the increase in taxes on the comsumer) and (b) he'll raise taxes on people making $200,000 or more a year but cut taxes for people earning less (a promise Bill Clinton made and didn't keep).

I make you one promise, I'll keep an open mind and wait and see what Obama does. If his policies work (and it can be proven it's because of his policies not despite them) and the ecomomy and the country are better off in four years I'll vote for his reelection. If not, I'll vote Republican again.
